Impact of COVID-19

We are facing uncertain times in the weeks ahead due to COVID-19. It wasn’t easy to put this newsletter together. What do you do when you run a center, a place of community, at a time when social distancing is better for the good of all? As we move into April, and even the rest of March, be prepared for cancellations regarding classes. You will also see that some of our class/reading offerings will be held remotely.

The practitioners and I at Illuminations are closely paying attention to the ever-changing guidelines regarding personal interaction. At this time, the shop is still open and several practitioners are seeing clients in-person. We have cut back on future classes, and any classes we do hold will be capped at 10 people. However, if you have traveled internationally within 14 days, come into close contact with someone who has a laboratory confirmed COVID – 19 diagnosis within 14 days, developed a fever (greater than 100.4 F or 38.0 C), or developed symptoms of lower respiratory illness such as cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing within the last 14 days, we request that you stay home. Appointments can be rescheduled and classes can be held at another time. Thank you for being respectful of our community-we’re in this together!

Know that many of our readings and energy work can be done remotely. Please contact one of our practitioners or Illuminations for additional information. Some of our practitioners are already electing to do all services remotely. Please understand that some of us are considered higher risk for COVID-19 and this is for our own good and that of the community.

If you are concerned about coming into Illuminations, you may place an order and pay for items over the phone, and I can deliver the items to your car. You don’t even have to step into the Cherry Building. Unfortunately, we don’t have an online shop, but this would work great for items like sage, incense, essential oils, etc.

Although we may get to a point where we can’t meet in person, know that our community is strong. Let’s give each other support in the upcoming days ahead by spreading love, not fear, through Facebook, phone calls, texts, and/or video chats. The best course of action is to stay calm. This might be a wonderful time to go deep into self-reflection. Find a good book (hint, we have some good ones), begin a meditation practice if you haven’t already, set up a healing altar.

I care about all of you. Be safe and healthy.
