Small Business Saturday was started in 2010 as a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a way to encourage shoppers to patronize local businesses. What better way to celebrate this holiday than by encouraging shopping in The District.

Over 30 businesses in the district are providing coupons, gift cards, promotional items, and more that will go into the reusable Shop Small American Express bags. Cedar Rapids Main Street will also be putting in District Dollars which can be spent at any participating business.

On the Morning of the 30th of November the first 200 patrons can pick up their bags starting at 10:00am on the 11^th Ave side of the Cherry Building next to the GIANT CHERRY and shop away the day in The District.
