Winter Solstice Celebration

December 21, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Celebrate the light within as we enter the longest night of the year.  We will spend an hour or so engaging with the energy of the sun, the moon, the stars and the spirits of the animals of winter.  There will be an earth-centered ritual that everyone can have a part in, if they want to.  You’ll have time to share with the group how winter inspires you and how you find rebirth in the middle of the darkness.

Take this opportunity to share your creative gifts.  Maybe you’ve written a poem or made some art about the winter solstice.  Tell the story of a happy memory.  Sing us a song.  Bring some cookies, if you want.

Finally – this is completely voluntary, but you’ll probably want to participate – bring a little gift for everyone (maximum 20).  It doesn’t matter what it is.  It could be little rocks from gravel on the road or acorns or one Hershey’s Kiss, and so on.  The most important thing is that they are a symbol of the gift that you want to give to everybody.

This event is free.  Donations accepted.
